Safety Starts with Preparation

At South Georgia Pecan, the health and safety of our employees remain one of our highest priorities. Recently, team members at our Western Production Facility in El Paso participated in First Aid, CPR, and AED Training and Certification conducted by the professionals at CINTAS.
Emergencies can happen when we least expect them, and being prepared to respond quickly and effectively can make all the difference. This hands-on training equipped employees with the knowledge and confidence to take immediate action during medical emergencies, both in the workplace and beyond.

Throughout the course, participants learned essential lifesaving skills, including how to recognize and respond to a variety of emergency situations. Team members practiced CPR techniques for adults, learned how to properly operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and received instruction on basic first aid procedures to assist individuals experiencing injuries or sudden illnesses until professional medical help arrives.
While we always strive to prevent accidents through strong safety programs, continuous training, and proactive measures, preparedness is another critical component of maintaining a safe work environment. By investing in education and emergency response training, we empower our employees to care for one another and respond with confidence when every second counts.
This certification reflects more than just complianceโit demonstrates our ongoing commitment to building a workplace culture centered on responsibility, awareness, and the well-being of every member of our team. The skills gained through this training extend beyond our facility walls and can help protect coworkers, family members, friends, and members of our community.

We are proud of our Western Production Facility team for taking part in this important training opportunity and for their dedication to creating a safer environment for everyone. Thank you to CINTAS for providing this valuable instruction and helping equip our employees with skills that have the potential to save lives.
Because at South Georgia Pecan, safety starts with preparationโand preparation starts with people who care.
