Cinnamon Pecan Crunch Doughnuts

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of cake flour
  • ยพ cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ยผ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ยผ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ยพ cup of buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • ยฝ teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 3 cups roasted pecans
  • โ–ขยฝ cup toffee pieces

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350ยฐF. In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon).

  • Add wet ingredients (buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla) and stir until combined. Pour batter into a greased donut pan.

  • Bake 8โ€“10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Pulse pecans and toffee in a food processor until a crumbly flour forms; pour into a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar and water for glaze.

  • While donuts are still warm, dip in glaze and immediately coat with pecan mixture.

  • Let cool on parchment or wax paper.
